Service Description:

Polygon layer that spatially defines the various Integrated Development Ordinance (IDO) zone districts within the City of Albuquerque. The IDO feature class was developed from the original AGIS Zoning layer in November 2015 based on a conversion table establishing how old zones were to convert to the new IDO Zones. The conversion was based on the closest matching set of permissive uses. R-D and Special Use zones followed a set of rules for conversion and/or the regulations established in the original Sector Plan in which the zone was located. After extensive community outreach and many public hearings, the final IDO Zoning Conversion Map was completed on May 16, 2018. The original zoning was kept in the attribute table and the intent is to keep this information available within this feature class for a few years. The IDO was adopted in November 2017 with amendments in April and May 2018. The IDO became effective on May 17, 2018. Subsequent changes to this feature class will occurr through the City sponsored voluntary, follow-up zone conversion process from May 2018 to April 2019. Other changes will be dictated by zone map amendments of the old zoning code still working their way through the approval process or zone map amendments requested by property owners outside of the City sponsored conversion process.
